The 1993 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Round 5 was a Touring Car meeting that was held on 13 June 1993 at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent, England. The race was contested over 3 twenty-six lap sprint races and was the fifth round of the 1993 British Touring Car Championship.
Background[]
Heading into the race weekend, Lorenzo Turri lead Mike Bell at the head of the the Overall drivers' and Manufacturer Drivers' championships by 13 points. Turri's team, Team Mondeo, held a 72-point lead over Nissan Castrol Racing in the Manufacturers Team Championship.
