The 1991 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Round 6 was a Touring Car race that was held on 14 July 1991 at the Birmingham Superprix circuit in Birmingham, England. The race was contested over 1 10 lap sprint race and 1 twenty lap feature race and was the sixth round of the 1991 British Touring Car Championship.
Background[]
Heading into the meeting, Vik Rune was leading the Overall and Manufacturer Drivers' Championship by forty-one points from Roy Cop. Kaliber ICS Team Toyota was leading the Manufacturer's Team Championship by seventy-eight points from Nissan Janspeed Racing. In the Independent Driver's Championship, Mike Bell lead Kris Simton by twenty-six points. However it was Simton's Auto Trader Techspeed Team which lead the Independent Team's Championship over ACE Motorsport by twenty-six points.
For the first time in the series, the meeting would not have a qualifying session. Instead the starting grid for the sprint race would be run in reverse championship order.

Twelve drivers representing nine teams entered the race. Nissan Janspeed Racing, Kaliber ICS Team Toyota and Autotrader Techspeed Team entered two cars and ACE Motorsport, BMW Team Finance , BMW Team Listerine, BMW Team Labatts, Vauxhall Sport and John Maguire Racing entered single cars.
